Cigi’s Story

I knew from a very early age that I wanted a career in fashion. I can remember sketching designs in elementary school! My first job was in retail. I studied fashion design/marketing at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, TN. After graduating in 2006, I moved to Atlanta. I worked in the wholesale fashion industry, directly with designers and buyers. I credit the success of my business today, to my background in wholesale. This position lead me to my job at AmericasMart. I was a Tradeshow Sales Manager, and loved EVERY second of it. If you would have told me that I would be moving back to Tennessee to open my own store, I would have told you that's INSANE!! However, I am firm believer that God's plan is better than mine! I will spare you on all the cheesy, Hallmark movie details, but I ended up following my heart and moving back to Tennessee in April 2014. This was after a lot of prayers, and a strong sense of peace in my decision to move back, even though I had NO PLAN?! Who does that?! Sometimes things have to fall apart before they can fall perfectly into place, and that is exactly what happened! ★ One thing lead to another, and Cigi's was born on November 1, 2014. I am so thankful to my loyal customers, and the Upper Cumberland for supporting my dream! I look forward to many more years of growth and success for Cigi's!
